Order Your 6" Flameless Candles Before They're Gone!

Am spreading the word that I will no longer be stocking the 6” size of all of my flameless LED sampler candles. I’m down to a few dozen left, so if you’d like to grab one for yourself or for Christmas gift giving before they’re gone, head on over to my Etsy shop to place an order. They’ll be made to order, so do message me if the one you’re interested in is out-of-stock in my shop. Probably goes without saying, but the orders will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis, and I can still get them to you in time for Christmas if I receive your order soon!

I have more of the 4” left, but will most likely be taking them down out of my Etsy shop once the 6” are gone. Haven’t quite decided how I’m going to offer them going forward, so be sure to subscribe to my blog feed or follow me on Instagram if you’re interested.

Abundant thanks to you all for your purchases and support of these over the years!

They’re called Honey Buttermilk Thankful Rolls, full article found here by the talented Cindy (Instagram @akronohiomoms with photo credit too). There's Someone I'd Like You to Meet...Mr. Toppum!

Printed up Mr. Toppum this morning for a customer, so thought you might also like to bring a bit of whimsy to your fall styling by adding him to your mix! Such a distinguished lil’ rascal…wouldn't you say? His top hat and monocle stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on him. 🎩 He’s being offered in my Etsy store…both framed and unframed.

Happy Sister's Week...For All My Kindred Sistas

♥ LINKED & CONNECTED BY TIES THAT BIND ♥ A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking sweet tea and visiting with her mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter. 'Don't forget your sisters,' she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. 'They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them.' 'Remember that 'sisters' means ALL the women...your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. 'You'll need other women. Women always do.' What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!' But she listened to her mother. She kept contact with her sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her mother really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, sisters are the mainstays of her life. THIS SAYS IT ALL: Time passes. Life happens. Distance separates. Children grow up. Jobs come and go. Love waxes and wanes. Men don't do what they're supposed to do. Hearts break. Parents die. Colleagues forget favors. Careers end. BUT......... Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you....or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, mothers, grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, extended family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers: they all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Linked and connected by ties that bind. ♥ AUTHOR UNKNOWN

Traveling Miss Daisy - Farmhouse Giveaway

Have ya met my traveling cow Miss Daisy? Although I found her as a free printable and gave her greener pastures, she doesn’t stay in any one place in my home for long. For my first giveaway on Instagram, I just slipped a copy of her into a lovely antique frame and am excited to send her off to one of you! Since she enjoys grazing by a row of sweet creamers and old galvanized tin, I’m also throwing in three vintage ironstone creamers for your collection to make her feel right at home. 🌿 So do please pop on over to my Insta page before midnight on Sunday, August 7th and enter to win!

To the Rescue!

You’re looking at a rescue operation here, friends! Returned home from a little get-a-way to find my new hydrangea blooms hanging their heavy heads low. We had lots of sweet Oregon rain while we were gone, and although it’s very welcome this time of year, wasn’t the best for my fresh-from-the-nursery prolifically blooming plant. Can’t say I’m the least bit sad, however, cause my old galvanized tub that I just picked up junkin’ was begging for some loveliness! 🍃💚🍃

Who’s ready for another weekend? 😉
It’s laundry day here, so thought I’d freshen up the space with a few blooms from my garden. See that lovely limey colored hydrangea? It’s called Limelight…had one at my last place and am over-the-moon excited I was finally able to track one down at a local garden center this weekend. It’s a bright pop in the garden and in summertime bouquets and matures to a deep pink…pairs well with so many colors. But…I digress. Could chat about that all day long but the laundry is calling and the birds are singing...am telling myself to have a song in my heart…blessings on your day, friends! 🍃✨🍃
